Coatings & Substrates Designed to Captivate
Our coatings and substrates continue to raise the bar and remains the sublimation industry’s model for excellence.
Our Proprietary Coating
Our chemical engineering team ensures that our dual coating substrate is specifically designed for heat transfer and formulated for full-color saturation on each and every Unisub blank. Our sublimation printing transfers images directly into a coating that is thicker and more consistent, forming an unmatched bond between the artwork and the medium.
Our Substrates
We refer to our high-quality substrates as BARE, which stands for Blank, American-Made, Radiant and Eco-Conscious.
As partners in sustainable forest management, all maple wood and MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) are responsibly sourced from forested wood and are FSC certified. Many of our BARE substrates are 100% recyclable, even after being sublimated. In addition to our own high standards, we are an ISO-certified company.
Our skilled manufacturing team handcrafts Unisub BARE substrates in Louisville, Kentucky. Plus, we source all raw materials for our substrates in the United States.
We conduct White Glove inspections on all BARE substrates to ensure even coating. Our phase-by-phase visual inspections achieve the highest quality sublimatable surfaces.
Following BARE principles allows Unisub substrates to be precisely produced to fully capture your creations.

REACH (Europe) Information
Unisub articles in formal use have no chemical emissions for REACH consideration. At this time, Unisub products are REACH exempt.
Coating
Our manufacturing plant is environmentally considerate. Our coatings do not contain lead, other heavy metals, or phthalates. We use a low energy process to cure our coatings and create our blanks. We’re proud to say this process creates no emissions from our facility while still maintaining durability and beauty.
